IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. It conducts the Common Written Examination on behalf of twenty public sector banks. This exam can be given for various posts like Probationary Officers, Clerical Cadres, Specialist Officers etc. As far as the educational qualification is concerned as mentioned earlier you can get the degree in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university. The minimum percentage to acquire has not been mentioned. The lower age limit for this year's exam is 20 years and for general category candidates the upper age limit remains 28 years. There is however age relaxation for the reserved category candidates. There is 5 years age relaxation for the SC/ST candidates, 3 years age relaxation for the OBC candidates and 10 years age relaxation for the physically disabled candidates. You need to have proficiency in the language of the State where you are intending to apply. Along with that you need to show proof that you have computer skills. This proof can be produced in the form of your mark sheet of +2, if you had computer science as a subject, or a certificate course from a recognized institute. Exam Pattern:- No the duration of the exam is two hours instead of three. There will be five sections in all and from each section 40 questions will be asked. All total 200 questions therefore will be asked and the total marks allotted is also 200. For each negative answer 0.25 marks will be deducted. The breakup of the total number of questions and marks are as follows: -Reasoning -English Language -Numerical Ability -General Awareness -Computer Knowledge Hope this helps :-> :-> |
