Respected Sir, I want to apply for JEE Main exam so I want to know what is the exam pattern of JEE Main exam? What type of question are asked in the exam? How should I prepare for the exam? Please answer as soon as possible.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. JEE is conducted every year by CBSE and it has two stages JEE Main and Advanced. The examination pattern of JEE Main is:

>>Physics: 30 questions.

>>Chemistry: 30 questions.

>>Mathematics: 30 questions.

Each question consists of 4 marks each and there is negative marking of one mark each for wrong answer.

Total time duration of this examination is three hours. Some questions are easy, some are of moderate difficulty level and some hard also. You first complete NCERT books of PCM subjects then standard book and join any test series of good coaching institute.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and same is a national level engineering entrance examination held for offering admission in undergraduate technical courses mainly in CFTIs like IIT, NIT, ISM, IIIT, etc. and other private engineering colleges.

JEE is held by CBSE once every year in two stages which includes JEE Main and JEE Advanced respectively.

As far as you are concerned about the pattern of JEE Main then for your information the question paper is divided into three sections one of each Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Also each section consists of 30 questions each of four marks and hence the maximum marks of question paper is 360 marks.

Further the syllabus for examination includes the whole syllabus Class 11th and Class 12th of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and are based on the applications of certain theories what you have studied for your board examination.

- For each correct answer, +4 marks shall be allotted & Negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
