hi,
the list of exams that you can give for govt. jobs are as below- 1. GATE exam, it's score card is accepted by many psu such as ntpc, bhel, ongc etc. 2. IES, this exam is conducted by upsc for Indian engineering services. 3. exams conducted by ISRO, DRDO, etc. 4. IBPS-PO and SBI-PO. 5. civil services exam conducted by upsc for IAS, IPS etc. 6. state public service commission. 7. CDS, this exam is conducted by upsc for admission to various wings of defense forces. 8. AFCAT, this exam is conducted for recruitment to officer post in airforce. besides these you can appear for various recruitment exams whose advertisement you can see in rozgar smachar/employment news from time to time. best of luck. |

You can give the Indian Engineering Service entrance exam. It would be perfect for you being the Mechanical Engineer. If you have completed the Bachelor of Technology course then you are eligible for it.
Indian Engineering Service is a central government exam for jobs in various government departments. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on the annual basis. The Indian Engineering Service is conducted in 4 branches of Engineering: Civil Mechanical Electrical Electronics and Communications The Mechanical Engineers are hired for the following deparments: Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers Central Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Service (Central Public Works Department) Border Roads Engineering Service Central Water Engineering Central Power Engineering Service (Central Electricity Authority) Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) Indian Naval Armament Service Indian Supply Service (Directorate General of Supply and Disposals) Indian Defence Service of Engineers Central Engineering Service (Roads) Indian Railway Stores Service Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (EME) Indian Navy IES Eligibility 1. Indian nationals are eligible for this exam. 2. Bachelor degree in Techology is required to appear. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. You can also appear during the final year. 5. Age limit is 21 to 30 years for IES. 6. You will get 3 years relaxation if belongs to OBC. 7. SC/ST will get 5 years relaxation. |
