A civil engineer basically needs to have skills like planning, designing and also monitoring the projects handled. The projects include irrigation projects, construction of road, railways, bridges, buildings, water and sewage systems etc. So for such job the technical skills required are applying various principles, procedures, techniques into practice, making alterations in plans where ever necessary, comfortable in mathematics etc. It is important to have team management skills as the job involves handling skilled and unskilled staff. It important that they listen to various points raised and act appropriately.
