What is the legal status of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE)?


Hi, could anybody please confirm me about the legal status of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE). Is this recognized and approved by any government body? Can we apply for state and central level government jobs with degree from IIIE?

IIE was established in 1957 and is affiliated by university of Mumbai.
