What is the lower and upper age limit to apply for NDA?
Sir, I was born in September 1999 can I appear for NDA exam in the year 2019? What should be my minimum age to get eligible for it?

The lower and upper age limit required to apply for NDA examination is 16.5 to 19.5 years as on 1st January or 1st July of the year of examination for NDA-1 and NDA-2. You should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a Government recognised board and you should be an unmarried male candidate to be eligible to apply for NDA examination.

If your age is between 16.5 years to 19.5 years you can definitely apply for NDA exam....your age this time is below 19.5 years...So apply freely

No, you are not eligible to appear for NDA in 2019. NDA is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted in two stages.
The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed or appearing for 12th from a recognised board. Candidate's age must be between 16.5-19.5 years as on date Only male candidates are eligible to appear in the examination. The examination is conducted in two stages. The lower and upper age limit for National Defence Academy exam:
1. Lower age limit: 16.5 years. 2. Upper age limit: 19.5 years. As per your age limit, you will not be eligible to apply for NDA exam. |

NDA refers to National Defense Academy and to join the same a candidate is required to qualify NDA entrance examination held by UPSC twice every year.
Further for appearing in NDA, the age limit is 16.5 years to 19.5 years by the 1st January of following year in case of NDA I while in case of NDA II it should lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years by the 1st July of the year following the year in which you are appearing in the examination. So, having born in September 1999, you are not eligible for appearing in upcoming NDA entrance examinations as for appearing in NDA I 2019, the maximum age limit will be 19.5 years by the 1st January 2020 and by the same date, your age will be over 20 years. NDA is National Defence Academy. The examination is conducted in two stages by UPSC. It is conducted for recruitment in defence service in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.
The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed or pursuing in 12th from a recognised board. The age limit for NDA I 2019 is that candidate must be born between 02nd July 2000 to 01st July 2003. So, you do not satisfy the criteria and hence not eligible to appear in the examination. |

The acronym NDA stands for National Defence Academy.
Eligibility criteria for NDA exam: Academic qualification: Senior Secondary board examination passed from a recognized board. The age criteria is 16.5 to 19.5 years. Unmarried male Indian candidates can only apply for exam. You can not apply for 2019 NDA exams. |

The minimum age is 16.5 years. Candidates born in September 1999 can not apply for NDA examination. |

As per the minimum eligibility criteria, the candidate must have minimum age of 16.5 years on 31st December of year of admission and maximum should not exceed 19 years whereas there is no relaxation in upper age limit provided to reserved categories.

Age limit to appear for NDA exam:-
The age limit for NDA is 16.5 to 19 years of age. So, for NDA 2019, one should have his year of birth between July 2000 and July 2003. NDA (1) 2019, candidates must have born between 2nd July 2000 to first July 2003. For NDA(11) 2019, candidates should have born between 2nd January 2001 to 1st July 2004. |

The age limit is the first eligibility criteria that candidates match with their details. As per NDA eligibility criteria 2019 candidate must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age. There is no upper Age relaxation given to reserved students. |

The lower and upper age limit to apply for National Defence Academy exam is 16.5 years to 19.5 years.
You will over age as per date of birth restrictions which will be revealed in notification for NDA I in 2019. You can not apply for NDA exam. |
