What is the minimum educational criteria to be eligible for GATE examination?
Hi, presently I am pursuing my 1st year of B.Tech (2019-2020 session). Will I be eligible to appear for GATE entrance examination in the 3rd year of B.Tech i.e., in the 2022 GATE exam session?

Dear user, You won't be able to apply for the GATE Examination, unless you are in final year of your your studies. If completed, you need to have your Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology.

Note that only those candidates can appear for GATE exam who are in final year of their graduation.
Since, B.Tech is of 4 years duration, so you can apply for GATE exam when you are in final year of your graduation. Hence, you can apply for GATE in 4th year of your B.Tech i.e. for 2023 GATE exam session. Some of the popular coachings of GATE include GateForum, MadeEasy, etc. |
