what is the next date for issuing of cat forms?
i want to knw about gmat.what exactly gmat means.is gmat and mat are the same?

Generally, GMAT appointments are available six days a week, but testing centers set their own hours to meet local and regional needs.
GMAT exam 2010 is held all round the year in more than over 100 countries.
you can choose your own date and time for taking the exam. The GMAT 2010 is usually taken by students interested in pursuing management programs. The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) was designed by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) to provide them with a selection test for candidates applying for MBA programs.

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT 2010) is an also being used by the Business Schools for Executive MBA programs. It is a critical component of the application and requires careful preparation. Most applicants need six to twelve months of intensive study to prepare for the exam.

the admission forms for CAT is generally released in the month of mid-september of every year.
you can get the forms from your near by AXIS bank.

MAT is Management Aptitude Test:All India Management Aptitude Testing Service (AIMATS), New Delhi conducts the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) as the National Entrance Test for admission to MBA and equivalent programmes of the various participating institutes,where as,

GMAT is Graduate Management Admission Test:GMAT test, initially prepared for use by the Institutes/Universities of U.S. offering programs in management and business, is now used as a criterion for allotting admission to students globally by more than 1700 universities/institutes.

this year's CAT exam is already over.

next year the application forms will be available in the month of september.
you will get the application form from AXIS banks.

no MAT and GMAT are not same.
MAT score is used to get admission into national colleges where as you can apply for foreign universities with GMAT score card.
but you have to write TOFEL also with GMAT to get admission into foreign universities.

cat form is relased in the end of the year, the application form is available in october to november. the paper is held on mid of december.

cost 1400 RS...
both are different ...
gmat is world level exam for management...
all good university like stanford,oxford,newyork,lehigh,yale,Vrije,Amsterda m,netherland...
are take admission on the basis of GMAT score,,,
candidates select time for this exam...
you also change your date of exam....(this facility charges approx 3 or 4 thousands)
this forms are very costly....
MAT is india level exam conducted by AIMATS...
4 times in a year...

CAT 2010 was conducted just two months,results were announce just on 12 january,
Admissions are underway.
To take the next CAT you have to wait till the next notifications are announced,
which most probable will be announce in the last week of august,
you will have to buy the brochure and apply online on the websitehttp://www.catiim.in
you can choose you day/date of examinations and as well schedule you own test center.
CAT dates are most probably to be in November around.
Now coming to GMAT and MAT they are two different worlds.
MAT exam is conducted in india 4 times a year for admission to various MBA courses.
On the other hand GMAT is a US based exam.GMAT scores are used by Top universities
all across the world US/EUROPE for admissions in MBA courses.
ISB in india also Takes GMAT scores... in some courses IIM's also accept GMAT score.
so while MAT is a second grade exam, ... GMAT is a top exam universally accepted by Top universities.
