There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

Civil Service exam conduct for recruiting the candidate of IAS , IPS ,IRS persons.This exam is is one of the toughest exam in India.

Those candidate have completed graduation degree from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.Need not require any kind of percentage marks in IPS Exam .Final year student are applicable for IPS Exam.

Age criteria :-

Minimum Age = 21 years old
Maximum Age = 30 years old

Age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

Attempt Limit:-


General Candidate can maximum 4 Times
OBC Candidate can Maximum 7 Times
SC/ST there is no attempt Limit

IPS exam is consist of 3 process - Preliminary Exam . Mains Exam and Personal Interview .

Civil Services Exam notification is already released in UPSC website .I have listed the exam date for Civil Service Exam.

Date of Notification : 02.02.2013
Last date of Receipt of Application : 04.03.2013
Preliminary Exam Date : 19.05.2013
Main Exam Date : 08.11.2013

You can apply for this exam through online or offline by UPSC exam .The Cost of Examination Application form Rs.100/- for General and OBC candidates and Free for SC/ST candidates .

IPS - Indian Police Service

One has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year to become an IPS officer.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness.

The candidate aspiring for IPS should have minimum prescribed Physical requirement such as:-

HEIGHT - General Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm.

CHEST:- Male-84cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The minimum qualification required for IPS is GRADUATION.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC.

To be eligible for IPS , you should be -

An Indian Citizen.

You should be a graduate in any discipline.

Your age should be between 21 years to 30 years.


IPS exam is conducted in three stages –

Preliminary exam
Main exam
Interview.


Preliminary Exam consists of two parts –

Paper 1 and Paper 2

Paper 1 – General studies –which include

Indian & World Geography
Indian Polity and social development
General Issues on environment

IPS - Indian Police Service, to become an IPS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

IPS stands for the Indian Police services.UPSC organises Civil services exmainations for the different respectable services like IAS,IRS,IFS,IPS etc.

The qualification required in order to be eligible for the civil services examinations are as follows:

1.You should have done your bachelor's degree from a recognized university.If you are in final year of bachelor's degree then also you can apply for the examinations.

Clearing the Civil Services Exam is a 4 stage process :-

In order to become an IPS officer you need to give the CIVILS exam conducted by UPSC.

There are various other posts available for Civils exam.

But in order to become an IPS officer there are few physical requirements which you need to meet in order to become an officer.

Indian PoliceService.


IPS exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) one time in a year. The educational qualification for the IPS exam is graduation in any discipline.


Eligibility criteria:-

You can appear at any percentage for this exam.

Selection process is based on preliminary exam and after if you are qualified in Preliminary exam then you will be qualified for the next stage i.e Mains examination.

Qualifications Required For IPS Exam

Nice to see that you want to become an IPS Officer. But you can do this only through cracking the Civil Services Exam.

For I.P.S you have to qualify the Civil Services exam.

After passing 11th can 12th you have to go for Civil Services exam then you have to do graduation with any stream you want to take like:-
> B.A
> B.COM
> B.C.A
> M.B.B.S
> B.TECH
> B.SC
> LAW
etc

After passing graduation you have to qualify the civil Services exam.

Civil Services exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age limit for Civil Services exam is 21-30 year,

There are three stage f selection:-
> Prelims Exam
> Mains Exam
> Interview

In Civil services mains exam you have to chose optional subject.

IPS Stands Indian Police Service

IPS exam is conducted by the UPSC once a year

Eligibility Criteria :

The candidates must be Indian

Candidates must be complete Graduation in any stream from a recognized university

Candidates age limit between 21 to 30 years

3 years age relaxation for OBC Candidates

5 years age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates

Number of Attempts :

General Candidates : 4 Times

OBC Candidates : 7 Times

SC/ST Candidates : No limit

Preliminary Examination

Main Examination

IPS stands for Indian Police Service.

Many candidates have the dream to see themselves as IPS Officers.

But only those candidates who have put their effort towards this goal can get the success.

Here is the selection procedure to be placed in IPS or other civil services

CSAT Exam Civil Services Aptitude Test
Civil Services Main Exam
Interview

Here is the qualification required for the candidate to go through this selection procedure

Academic qualification :
-One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.

Age criteria :
-A candidate from General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit
-upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category
-upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category
-upto 10 years for the candidates with physical disabilities

If you want to be placed in IPS. Remove all other thoughts of your mind and prepare towards only this preparation.

Indian Police Service

1st You have completed your graduation Degree from recognise universities....Final years student who are waiting for their final result can also apply for it.


Age Limit:General Age Limit is 21-30 years. but there is relaxation is available for reserved category....


Relaxation on Upper Age:For OBC category : up to 33 years
