What is the salary given for an Army Soldier? Can you please give me the information on the same? What would be the minimum CTC they will have? It is a good job to take or not? Who can give me the complete information on this? Thanks!

Following are Salary detail for Army Soldier:

Sepoy or Rifleman

Pay band 5200-20200

Grade pay 2000

Military Service 2000

X(Technical) Group pay 1400

Cash in Hand 25000


Similar for Other post also but increase in payment as promotion is applied

Salary usually vary as per the rank and post. But the standard salary given to Army soldier for various post has been given as below :

1- Lieutenant Category in Indian Army
Pay band-15600 to 39100.

2- Captain in Indian army,
Pay band 15600 to 39100.

3- Major in Indian army,
Pay band - 15600 to 39100

4- Colonel in Indian Army
Pay band - 37400 to 67000

5- Lieutenant colonel in Indian Army
Pay band-37400 to 67000

6- Brigadier Rank in Indian Army
Pay band- 37400 to 67000

7- Major general rank
Pay band- 37400 to 67000

8- Lieutenant general,
Pay band- 67000 to 79000

But these salary also vary as per the pay commission of Government of India. Now 7th Pay commission is going to be applied in Government sector, So salary will be increased by 20 to 25%.

Military Service should be Rs. 6000.
Grade Pay should be Rs. 5400
