Sir/Madam, I am a 1st year student of BTech with CSE. I just want to know that what I need to increase my knowledge in this field? Kindly help me to get the knowledge according to my specialization. Thank you!

To increase knowledge being B.Tech (CSE) student, you can start going through syllabus of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of your curriculum. This will help you a lot when teachers/professors will teach you the same in coming semesters.

Along with that, go through online free content to increase knowledge on these topics that are covered in upcoming semesters.

Note that 1st and 2nd semester subjects are common for all B.Tech streams (like Civil, CSE, Mechanical, etc.) and subjects in these semesters are not relevant to your stream.

So, better to focus on core subjects but that doesn't means that you should ignore 1st year subjects, study them properly to clear your semester exams at least.
