You can start your career in army as a soldier after 10th class rather than a officer. and after clearing medical test and physical test you will assign to different department like clerical, medical, war-soldier etc department.

So, better you do your 12th class with subjects Physics and Mathematics. and appear for NDA.

How to Apply

Apply in response to advertisement in March/April & Oct./Nov.

Age at the time of joining must be 161/2-19 years

Commencement of Course each year start from January and July...

Mode of selection

• NDA exam by UPSC
• and SSB interview

You can be post to high rank.If you are not interested in science stream in 12th class then you can choice any subject in 12th class and do graduation after that and apply for CDS.

For CDS..

For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy-Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.and for Indian Naval Academy you
need to have a Degree in Engineering.similarly for Air Force Academy you need a Degree of Recognized University
(with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

you have to be 19 half to 23 half years of age and must have passed graduation.
Candidates who are studying in the final year Degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply but they will be required to submit proof of passing the degree examination to reach the Army HQ/Rtg.

After finishing 10th there is no way you can get into Indian Army.There will be a possibility for you to join in Indian Army only after if you finish +2.

The options which you will get are NDA ,TEC.

NDA is National Defence Academy and is is held twice in a year.

Age limit for NDA:

The candidate must have a age limit of 16 1/2-19 years.

The exam is only conducted by unmarried male candidate.

Education Qualification:

The candidate must have passed out from +2 from a recognized board.

The other main criteria which you must seek is that you must be physically fit while appearing for the exam.

TEC is Technical Entry Scheme:

Age limit for TEC:

The candidate must have a age limit of 16 1/2-19 1/2 years.

The exam is only conducted by unmarried male candidate.

Education Qualification:

The candidate must have passed out from +2 from a recognized board with Physic, Chemistry & Math with a minimum of 70% aggregate.

The age limitation is 16.5 - 19 years.

There is no relaxation for this.
