The minimum education required for appearing in the NET (National Eligibility Test) is a Master's degree in concerned paper with at least 55% marks (or 50% in case of candidates from SC/ST or PwD category) or equivalent grade from a recognized university.

So, having completed your Master's in Physics with 5.93 CGPA,you are eligible to apply for NET, if your equivalent marks percentage is over 55% (or 50% in case of SC/ST or PwD candidates) as per your university grade to percentage conversion rule.

Further, NET is conducted twice every year, once in the month or June/July and Once in December and for exact updates regarding the upcoming NET, you can log on to the link www.ntanet.nic.in as the official notification regarding the same has not been released yet.

The eligibility to appear for NET is that candidate must have passed or pursuing in final semester of the course.

The required minimum aggregate to appear for the examination is that candidate must have scored minimum 55% aggregate in master degree.

So, if your aggregate is equal to or greater than 55% in master degree then you are eligible to appear for the examination.
