What are the steps to follow to become an IPS in future?
What are the steps to follow to become an IPS in future? Can you please provide me the step by step process which I need to follow and get the job as IPS? Please provide me the suggestions and tips which would help me to achieve the goal.

IPS stand for Indian Police Services.
Steps to become an IPS officer :- Candidate has to appear for UPSC Civil Services Exam in order to become an IPS officer . Eligibility criteria required to appear for civil services exam :- Nationality : Indian. Edu. Qualification :Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Age criteria : General category :21 years to 32 years . OBC candidates : 21 years to 35 years . SC/ST candidates : 21 years to 37 years . PWD candidates :21 years to 42 years . No. of attempts : General category : 4 times under the creamy layer, OBC candidates : 7 times and SC/ST candidates : No limits . Exam process : *Preliminary Exam *Main exam *Personality Interview. |

I.P.S stands for Indian Police Service and for recruitment as an officer you have to appear and qualify in all three stages of Civil Services examination.
The eligibility to appear for examination is :- Candidate must have passed graduation degree from any recognised university. Candidate's age must be between 21-32 years with relaxation in age for reserved category. So, you have to pursue graduation degree and after that have to qualify in preliminary, mains and interview for final selection for job.
