Syllabus for RRB Exam:-

RRB Stands for Railway Recruitment Board and this is under taken by the central Government to recruit candidates for Various posts.

If you have completed 10th standard then you are applicable RRB Group D exam.

So some of the post are for 12th standard , Diploma candidate , ITI candidate , Graduate candidate , B-TECH candidate and CA candidate.

So the age criteria is vary from post by post.

For this exam the selection processor is based on the written test followed by the personal interview.

Syllabus for Written test:

The written test questions will be of Objective type and the syllabus include:

• General Awareness
• Language Hindi/English
• General Arithmetic
• Aptitude
• Quantitative skills

RRB exam eligibility criteria:-


To appy for this post you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

You should also have the proficiency in local language.

Age limit for various posts:-

For assistant post your age should be between 18-28 years.

For scale I officer post your age should be between 18-28 years.

For scale II officer your age should be between 21-32 years.

For scale III officer your age should be between 20-30 years.

Age relaxation for sc/st candiates: 5 years.
for obc category it is 3 years.


Syllabus of RRB exam:-

1. General Awareness- Current Affairs, Major Financial/Economic News, Budget and Five Year Plans, Sports, Books and Authors, Science - Inventions and Discoveries, Awards and Honours, Important Days, Abbreviations.

2. Analytical and quantitative skills-
A. Verbal:- Number Series, Alphabet Series, Test of Direction Sense, Coding-Decoding, Number Ranking, Arithmetical Reasoning, Analogy, Decision Making.
B. Non Verbal:- Mirror Images, Cubes and Dice, Grouping Identical Figures, Embedded Figures.

3. General Arithmetic:- Number System, HCF, LCM, Simplification, Decimal Fractions, Ratio and Proportions, Unitary Method, Percentage, Time and Distance, Profit and Loss, Average, Algebra, Data Interpretation, Mensuration.

4. Language-general hindi/ general english

5. Technical questions which is your profession related and can be tricky.

Hi Friend,
The syllabus for RRB is General awarness, Arithmetic, General intelligence and Reasoning as one part, and another part is your technical subjects (i.e) whatever you had studied in your engineering or diploma which will be covered within this part. The written test contains 50 general questions and 100 technical questions with the total of 150 question set.
The question will be available in your regional language so it's easy for you. Prepare well and crack it out.

RRB or railway recruitment board is recruiting for technicians signal group 2 and group 3.for group 2 you need to be graduate B.sc. With physics or pass in higher secondary in science i.e. Physics or mathematics.
For group 2 you must be matriculation pass plus course completed in act. Apprentice/iti approved.
