To work as a lecturer you need to clear NET examination.
NET stands for National Eligibility Test. UGC conduct the examination twice in a year. This examination is conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship and Lecturer ship. You can easily teach in private and govt colleges after qualify the exam called NET. Minimum Eligibility For applying in NET examination
For Junior Research Fellowship - age of the candidate should not be more then 28 years. For Lecturer ship - There is no age limit to apply for Lecturer ship. The exam consist three papers Syllabus Paper I General knowledge Current affairs Aptitude and reasoning (It is 100 marks and a objective type paper). Paper II Core subjects (it carries 100 marks) Paper III Selected core subjects (It carries 200 marks) (Total marks the paper carries is 400 marks) Colleges time to time publish vacancies for lecturer in Daily newspaper. After qualify the NET exam you become eligible to apply in these colleges keep reading daily newspapers .Approach the college when vacancy arise. College/institution will take your interview of candidate. If college/institution will find you the right candidate they can appoint you as college's lecturer. For more info visit www.ugc.ac.in |

I am a B.Tech graduate in Polymer Science & Rubber Technology with 24 years experience.Now Anna University called for temporary Lecturer post .But the desirede qualification mentioned are M.Tech or M.Sc. During earlier days M.Sc was considered equivalent to B.Tech for all government postings.
Please give me some clarification on this. SABU |

sir i have not get distinction in my graduation but after giving back exam and in other semisters i have got higher percentage..will it affect while i will go for lectireship job in future
