Intelligence Bureau conducts entrance exam at 10+2 level as well as at bachelor's degree level.

The entrance exams are conducted by Ministry of Home Affairs.

At 10+2 level, exam is for Post of Security Assistant and at bachelor's degree Assistant Central intelligence officer post.

IB ACIO exam question pattern:

Objective test of 100 marks containing 100 questions.

The test contains of four sections:

1. English Comprehension.

>>Your basic knowledge of English and Grammar is judged.

2. General Knowledge and Awareness:

>>Questions from current affairs, science, business, sports, research, politics, banking and economy.

3. Reasoning.

>>Questions from coding, decoding, number series, visual memory, patterns, seating arrangement, decision making state and conclusion etc.

4. Mathematics:

In this section questions are from number system, direction sense test, fundamental arithmetics, whole number, percentage, SI and CI, Calendar, ratio and proportion, time speed and distance, work, average and probability.
