Hello, my date of birth is 28th February, 1977 and I belong to Schedule Caste category. Could I apply for the post of Food Safety Officer in Kerala Public Service Commission (K-PSC)? Is there any age relaxation for SC candidates in KPSC?

Upper age relaxation for Kerala PSC for the post of Food Safety Officer is 36 years. Upper age relaxation applicable 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST. You are not eligible for Kerala PSC for the post of Food Safety Officer as your age is 43 years as per your birth date 28/02/1977 and upper age limit for SC category is (36+5) = 41 years.

Kerala PSC Eligibility for Food Safety Officer
- You must possess a degree in food technology or dairy technology or biotechnology or oil technology or agriculture science or veterinary sciences or biochemistry or microbiology or master degree in chemistry or degree in medicine from a recognized university.
- Your age must be between 18 to 36 years. Age relaxation applicable 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST categories.

- Starting of Online Application : 31st December, 2019
- Last Date of Application : 5th February, 2020
