What is the upper and lower age limit for 1st standard admission in CBSE affiliated schools?

My daughter's date of birth is 23rd January, 2014. Is she is eligible or not for 1st standard admission in any CBSE affiliated schools for academic year 2019-20?

Upper age limit of a student to get admission into 1st standard in CBSE affiliated school is 7 years (as on 31st March in the same year) while lower age limit is 5 years.

Since your daughter's DOB is 23rd Jan 2014, so on 31st March 2019, her age will be 5 years 2 months.

Hence, she is eligible for getting admission into 1st standard.

For CBSE-affiliated schools, the lower age limit for 1st standard admission is typically 6 years old as of 31st March in the academic year of admission. There is no strict upper age limit, but schools may set their own guidelines. Please consult the specific school for details.

The upper and lower age limits for 1st standard admission in CBSE affiliated schools may vary depending on the individual school's policies and state regulations. However, according to the CBSE bylaws, the minimum age for admission to Class 1 is 5 years, and the maximum age should not exceed 7 years as on 31st March of the year in which admission is sought. It is always advisable to check with the specific school you are interested in to confirm their age eligibility criteria.
