if i select in upsc cds written exam then what i face next

you would be alloted a centre for the ssb which would be 5 day duration.
it would be divided into 3 phases-

1.screening- this includes extempore writing on various pictures,group discussion.

2.counselling-it includes your group task activities(generally onfield activities).

3.personal interview(PI)-In this you would be interviewed by officers specialised in their fields. questions would be related to your personality traits and of current affairs.

every stage is achieved after clearing the previous ones.

after PI if you are through then you will be recommende and alloted force.

After Written exam, Interview will be there.

Some times in addition to interview they will conduct Intelligent Test both in Verbal & Non verbal to assess the basic intelligence of the people.
They Will also conduct Group Discussions and they will ask to give some brief lectures about some specified subjects. So be thorough in current affairs
