I have completed my mechanical engg. in 2011. So i wanted to attend the IES exam 2012, so when ll the forms get issued and when ll b the exam held?

Hello Nitish,
The upcoming engineering service exam will be conducted on 15-06-2012.
The application forms, both online as well as offline, will be available from 25-02-2012.
The last date of submission of application form will be 26-03-2012.

Apart from being a graduate in engineering, you must be within the age limit of 21-30 years to be eligible for the exam.

I.E.S stands for Indian Engineering Service Examination.

The examination was conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year.

When to get the forms for IES Exam?

The application forms are available in two modes : 1)Online 2)Offline.

Online :- The candidates can fill the application forms in following website : http://www.upsconline.nic.in/

Offline :- The application forms are available in various designated post offices and sub post offices through the country.

Date of IES Exam?

Date of Notification : 25/Feb/12

Last date for receipt of application : 26/March/12

Date of examination : 15/June/12

I.E.S eligibility criteria :-

You should have a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized board or equivalent qualification.

You should have a minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years as on 1st august of the year of examination.

The notification was published in the month of February in the official website or employment news.

FORM AVAILABILITY

IES exam conduct UPSE so you get form from head post office of your city if you are staying in village so you have to go to city for purchasing a form .
this year you have passed, so are eligible next year 2012 IES EXAM;

IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination and this examination was Conducted by UPSC Every year and If you have already completed your Engineering Graduate degree course then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination.

IES Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications : Degree in :

Electronics & Communications Engineering
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Computer Engineering
Information and Technology
Instrumentation Engineering
or equivalent degree from recognized university or college.
• M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts.
• Students of final year Engineering or equivalent degree are also eligible.

Age Limits :
Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on August 1st on year of conduct of examination ( upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs,OBCs and certain others )
As you are pursuing engineering with ECE you are eligible but you must satisfy age criteria.

Age must be more than 21 years and less than 30 years. The upper age relaxation for SC, ST, Government servants is5 years; for OBC is 3 years and for physically challenged is 10years.

BRANCH.?

As per the tentative calendar of UPSC for examinations in 2012, the Engineering Services Exam was to have been notified by 25th Feb and the last date for receiot of applications is 26th March with the exams set to commence on 15th June.

However, the date of 25th Feb is already past and the notification is not yet out. It may not, however, be delayed abnormally. it should appear anytime now.
