CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test and it is an all India entrance examination conducted by 14 National Law Universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes LL.B & LL.M.

If you are Interested to apply for LLB Course, then for this you have to complete your 12Th examination and you should have obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate in your 12Th examination.

To apply for this examination, your age should not be more than 20 Years.

If you are Interested in this examination, then Please fill the Online Application form then Notification of CLAT Examination was already declared and availiable in the official website.

Last date for submission of filled-in forms : 31/March/2012

The advertisement for CLAT 2012 has been published on its official website.

The last date of submission of filled in application form is 31st March 2012.

The CLAT 2012 shall be conducted on 13th May 2012.

The eligibility criteria for CLAT is as follows.

Education
10+2 or equivalent pass with at least 50% marks.
5% relaxation is given to SC/ST/PD/OBC cadidates.

Age
20 years or less on or before 1st July 2012.
2 years relaxation is given to SC/ST/PD candidates.

The tuition fees of undergraduate programs in the law schools are;

1. Chanakya National Law University, Patna
Rs. 70,000 p.a.
2. Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar
Rs. 45,000 p.a. (For SC/ST category candidates)
Rs. 60,000 p.a. (For others)
3. HIdayatullah National Law University, Raipur
Rs. 50,000 p.a.
4. Nalsar University of Law, Hyderabad
Rs. 85,000 p.a.
5. The National Law Institute University, Bhopal
Rs. 90,000 p.a.
6. National Law School of India University, Banglore
Rs. 80,000 p.a.
7. National Law University, jodhpur
Rs. 85,000 p.a.
8. Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab
Rs. 70,000 p.a.
9. The National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi

CLAT Eligibility Criteria:-

CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. This is an All India National Law Entrance Test which is conducted by fourteen national law universities in turns. This exam can be given for doing both graduation and post graduation in law. The notifications for this exam is generally released in the month of January and exams take place in the month of May.

This year the exam was conducted by the Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur (HNLU) and the exam took place on May 12. Now in order to give the exam again you have to wait till next year. During the first month of 2014 keep an eye on the official website of CLAT for any recent updates.

  • You need to pass higher secondary exam or its equivalent from a recognized board.
  • At 10+2 level you need to secure minimum 50% of marks at graduation level.
  • SC/ST/PWD Candidates you need to get minimum 45% of marks in aggregate.
  • Final year students are also eligible to give this examination.
  • The upper age limit for general and OBC category candidates is 20 years
  • For SC/ST candidates and persons with disability the upper age limit is 22 years.
