Schedule of IAS Exam In 2012

The examination conducted for recruitment of the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) Officers is the Civil Services Exam which is conducted by the UPSC every year in 2 stages :-

>> Prelims
>> Mains

A candidate is eligible for appearing for the exam only if he/she satisfies the following minimum criteria :-

1) The candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years (age relaxation for reserved categories according to government norms)

2) The candidate must have completed his/her graduation in any discipline from a recognized University

The Prelims for 2012 were conducted on 20th May,2012

The Mains for 2012 shall be conducted on 5th October,2012

In case you have missed out this time on the exam then you can appear for the next exam..

The forms for the Prelims shall be available in the month of February..

After you clear both the written examinations..you shall be called up for the interview for the final selection..

firstly you will have to write the Civil Services Preliminary Exam and only after qualifying you will be eligible for the main exam ..

notification date: 04-02-2012

Last Date for Applications: 05-03-2012

Date of preliminary Exam: 20-05-2012

and then if you qualify for this then your main exam would be conducted as follows..

Date of Exam: 05-10-2012
