I have given UPSC preliminary exam. I wanted to know that when will UPSC 2010 prelim results declare? and how much marks (approximatly) needed to clear the prelim. My option is geography.

The notification about it is not yet out. Maybe they will be annnounced soon. But i can just give you a link from which you can track any notifications about UPSC results

Result of UPSC will likely to be come in the month of August 2010.
But still for clear date you have to refer result date by the official website of UPSC which is www.upsc.gov.in

The Prilims result 2010 are expected to declared before end of 2nd week, this month. Mostly before 10th of this month.

its on 6th or before 10th...

i have heard the approximate is 14th of august. but one thing is for sure, that it is not going to exceed 14th. let us hope for the best.

upsc can announce result on sunday too?

result should be declared as soon as possible.how can you expect us to concentrate in studies without knowing the results of preliminary exam

till date the results have not been announced.

how many words do we have to right for essay any idea

its today... 9th august or on 10th... cant get beyond dat...

forms comes in feb,exams in april.
results are declared in may.
october has the mains exam

the result should be in the 1st week of august every year. I think second week is too late.

The results will only be declared on or after 18th august 2010. Got the update from the people at UPSC.

sir, i want to know the cut off for this prilims 2010...am awaiting for the result,when can i expect it ?

I think it will come on 18th. Observe the pattern of results that came in 2008 and 2009. In 2009, it came on 4th Aug and 5th was a holiday (not a weekend). Similarly, in 2008, result came on 14th and 15th was a holiday. Hence, this time 19th is a holiday and I expect result will come out on 18th.

What happened sir? Today is already the 11th? When will the result come now?

Is there any increase in the vacancies and how many people will be selected for mains?
I have done 54 in history and 50 in GS.

yesterday Vajiram and Ravi's Director Mr. Ravindran announced it in the class that results will be out today. i called upsc and they told me that results will be declared on 18th August 4 PM. thats all.

The results are to be announced on the 18th. UPSC says so.

Result will be declared on 18th of August 2010 evening. The delay is on the question whether to fill the extra vacancies this year or the next one. Cut off for qualifying with History as optional is around 190(including GS). There wont be any seperate cut off for GS. Dont worry.
