Question Papers of VAO Exam

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts the Examination for the Recruitment of Village Administrative Officer.

If you have 12th standard OR graduation degree then you are applicable for VAO exam but you age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide as per govt rule But you must know the Tamil language.

Pattern for VAO Exam:-

This exam will be for 200questions, time will be available for 03 and maximum marks is 300.

General Tamil

hi friend,

VAO stands for Village Administrative Officer conducted by TNPSC every year.



A candidate should have completed their Graduation Degree in any stream.

Age limit between 21-30 years. there is a relaxation available on upper age for OBC and SC/ST category.

VAO Exam Details:-

VAO stands for Village Administrative Officers. The exam to recruit these officers is conducted by the Tamilnadu Public Service Commission. Generally the notifications for this exam is released in June or July. Exam takes place in September-October and by November-December you can expect the result to come out.

Reservation of Vacancies:-

~30% for women
~5% for ex-servicemen
~3% for differently-abled people

Eligibility Criteria:-

• You need to have a SSLC certificate to sit for this exam. In other words you need to be a 10th pass out candidate.
  
• Age should be between 21 and 30 years. For the STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCM the upper age limit is 40 years.
  
• If you dont know how to talk in Tamil then it would be impossible to work for you as a VAO officer. Still if you dont know Tamil then also you can apply for this exam. In that case you need to sit for a separate Tamil exam conducted by TNPSC.
  
• The selection procedure is quite uncomplicated as its mainly dependent on the written examination mainly. Apart from that other parameters which are also considered are the number of vacancies in each districts and the district you want to work.

In two parts generally the exam is conducted. 1) General Knowledge and 2) General Tamil/General English. Questions will be of SSLC standard. The whole paper will consist of 200 questions and total marks allotted is 300. You need 90 marks to qualify. You will get three hours to complete the whole paper.

Age should be 22 to 30 years as on the last date of the receipt of application.
Candidate those who passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission into Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) in College Courses of studies.
