The Combined Defense Services (CDS) exam conducts for the selection in Indian Armed Forces, Army, Navy and Air Force by the Union Public Service commission (UPSC).


CDS exam covers following parts:

• English
• General Knowledge
• Elementary Mathematics

CDS Stands for Common Defense Service. CDS Exam Is Conduct by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).
UPSC Conduct CDS Examination Every Year at All India National Level.


CDS have Four Wings ::-

Indian Militry Academy(IMA)
Naval Academy
Air Force
Officer's Training Academy(OTA)


Eligibility Criteria ::


Educational Qualification :

IMA & OTA - Graduation Degree in Any Stream from recognized University. (Only Unmarried male)

Naval Academy - Graduation degree in B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or B.Tech. (Only Unmarried male)

Air Force Academy - Graduation Degree in B.Sc. with Physics or B.Tech. (Married/Unmarried Male)


Age Limit :

19-24 Years Indian Military Academy

19-22 Years Naval Academy

19-23 Years Air Force Academy

19-25 Years Officers’ Training Academy



CDS selection process :

CDS written exam
SSB interview
Medical Test
