Hello.. My name is Likith, i'm from Mysore. I have completed my 3 years diploma in Computer Science. I'm looking forward for future studies regarding Comp.Sci. So can you please just let me know whether is there entry lateral entry(2nd year entry) for BCA..! or else please do suggest some other courses other than BE.

no there are no such scheme for larteral entry into 2nd year of BCA after completion of 3 years Diploma in Computer Science

I have finished diploma in ece.. I would lik to do BABL.i apllied for 5yr course by the 12th certificate I was not elligible for that due to age ..now I planned to do a degree direct 2nd yr with the diploma certificate.. if I do the degree in correspondance, will I eligible for tha 3 yr course of BL, or I should do degree in regular for BL SIR..

Hi friend,

It is not possible to get admission in directly 2nd year of BCA course after completing your 3 years course in Diploma.After completing your Diploma course,you will be eligible for lateral entry in Engineering courses only.

Eligibility conditions for BCA course are:

• You must have completed your 12th with Non Medical stream.
• You must have scored at least 50% marks.

Since you had completed your Diploma in Computer Science,so I will suggest you to go for Engineering degree,it is the best future option for you.I am also a Diploma holder just like you,i am also doing Engineering degree.

Eligibility conditions for Lateral entry admissions:

• You must have completed your Diploma course with minimum 60% marks in Engineering from a recognized State Board of Technical Education.
• You must not have any backlog left in Diploma course.
• Your age must not be more than 28 years.
