Yes, you are eligible to pursue Law ( LLB ) course.

The minimum required qualification to appear for entrance examination to get admission in course is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

There is no age limit to get admission in course. So, you can appear for examination conducted by different universities for admission.

The admission is also offered on the basis of merit score in some of universities.

Generally there is two ways to do the LLB course.

First after the 10+2,the eligibility for this is:

>>you must have scored at least 50% in 10+2 from any stream.

>>your age should not exceed 20 years.

>>you have to qualify for the CLAT examinations.

>>CLAT stands for common law admission test.

>>the duration of this LLB course is five years.

after qualifying this examination with good marks ,you are eligible to get admission in good colleges which offers this course.

Second is doing LLB after graduation.

>>the duration for this LLB is only 3 years.

>>grdauation in any stream from a recognised university in any stream.

Syllabus for entrance examination

>>logical reasoning

>>general awareness

>>aptitude test

>>communication skills.

LLB stands for Bachelor of law which is 3 years long graduation degree for those who wish to become lawyer and LLB can only be pursued after completion of graduation.

However it should be remembered that you must pursue LLB through regular mode and distance education degree will not be recognised by the bar council of India which will not let you practice in the court as lawyer.

Eligibilty:

A graduation degree in any stream.

At least 45% marks in graduation.

SC / St need 40% marks in graduation and the age limit to pursue LLB is 30 years and 5 years relaxation provided to reserved students.

You have completed graduation degree in regular basis so you are eligible for law degree.

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard with above 50% marks from a recognized university are eligible for LLB course. This exam is conducted through CLAT exam. There are no age criteria.

If you belong to General or Unreserved category, then I am very sorry to say that you are not eligible to pursue Bachelor of Law course with the above mentioned details. Yes, as far as Bar Council of India rules maximum age of a candidate must not exceed 30 years in order to pursue this Law course. And there will be an age relaxation for reserved category candidates of 5 years. So the maximum age for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates would be 35 years. If you have completed 12th Class from a recognized open school and belong to SC/ ST/ OBC then I am very sure that you are eligible to do this Law course. On the other case, you are not eligible to do this course.

Yes, graduates can apply for law degree through entrance exam conducted by the concerned university. Just make sure that you have got the degree from an UGC recognized university. You can apply for CLAT or any other entrance exam.

Admission will be on the basis of performance in the entrance exam and seats are allotted through counselling based on the rank.
