IOCL stands for Indian Oil Corporation Ltd

To apply for this you would need to satisfy the education qualification and the age limit.

~ The education qualification needed is that the candidate should have completed a Degree from a recognized university with 65% for General category candidates and for SC/ST/PWD candidates it is 55%.

~ The age criteria is that the candidate can have a maximum of 26 years and there are relaxation which are for SC/ST and PWD candidates.


If you satisfy these then you need to apply for the GATE Exam as it is very essential for joining in IOCL, as they take account of the GATE score.

General - 64.00
SC/ST - 51.67
OBC - 63.00

For Chemical Engineering :

General - 64.00
SC/ST - 45.33
OBC - 57.00

For Computer Science & IT:

General - 61.00
SC - 47.00 , ST - 43.67
OBC - 54.00

For Electrical Engineering :

General - 73.33
SC/ST - 53.67
OBC - 66.33

For Instrumentation Engineering :

General - 58.33
SC - 41.33 , ST -35.67
OBC - 51.33

For Mechanical Engineering :

General - 66.67
SC - 50.67 , ST - 38.33
OBC - 58.67

For Metallurgical Engineering :

General - 66.33
SC - 56.67 , ST -39.00
OBC - 60.67
