Can anyone of you please tell me about the education qualification which requires to apply for Fireman recruitment of Cochin Shipyard Limited. I want to apply for this recruitment, kindly let me know the eligibility criteria along with the educational qualification.

Eligibility and educational qualifications required to apply for the Fireman recruitment in the Cochin Shipyard Limited is given below:

1. Candidates should have passed S.S.L.C or 10th or equivalent examination

2. Candidates with at least 4 to 6 months training in Fire Fighting from a State Fire Force or PSUs or a Government recognized course from a reputed institute

Certificate in Nuclear Biological Chemical Defence and Damage Control (NBCD) including fire fighting on board ships from Armed Forces / recognized institutions

3. Candidates with knowledge of Malayalam are preferred

4. Upper age limit – 30 years as on 18th October, 2019

In order to apply for the recruitment, candidates should have completed their SSLC from a recognized board. Candidates must have minimum 6 months training in
Fire Fighting from a recognized institute or Certificate in Nuclear Bological Chemical Defence and Damage Control, including fire fighting on-boards ships from a recognized institute. Candidates must have minimum 1 year experience in fire fighting in State Fire Force or in large Industrial areas or in the Armed Forces or in Public Sector companies or in Private Companies. The age of the candidate should not exceed 30 years. Age relaxation of 3 years, 5 years and 10 years will be applicable on OBC candidates, SC/ST candidates and physically handicapped candidates.

2. Candidate should have two year Diploma in Health Inspector’s Course conducted by Directorate of Health Services or by any other institution.
