Is GATE compulsory for government job for B.Tech in electrical engineering?

As far as you are concerned about the necessity of appearing GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) for getting government jobs in Electrical Engineering field, then I would like to let you know that it is not compulsory but one must appear and secure top rank in the same examination to have better possibility as various PSUs offer jobs through the GATE Score only and therefore students with no GATE score will have comparatively lesser job options in PSUs than one with valid GATE Score and therefore it is advisable to appear in the same examination if you are interested in PSU jobs.

There are many Govt. jobs without GATE Score. GATE is only needed for getting placed in
PSU's
So, Apart from GATE, Some Govt. jobs are :-

1) SSC CGL ( Group B Officer Jobs in Income tax, Excise , Custom, Finance Ministry etc..)
2) SSC CHSL ( I think it covers both Group B and Group C level Jobs, These are basically for 10+2 but Graduate Candidate can also apply for these jobs)
3) UPSC CSE ( Group A Jobs like IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS etc..)
4)UPSC ESE ( Group A jobs Like IES Officer , Railway Department, BRO, Water Comission, Military Engineering Services etc.. )
5) RRB JE.
6) Banking sector jobs ( SBI exam etc.. ) etc.

No, GATE is not necessary to all the government jobs. You need GATE Score only for jobs in PSU's. So you can apply for various government jobs with your qualification and percentage.

No, ladies not necessary to all the government jobs. Actually you need GATE score only for jobs in PSUs. So you can apply for BDS government jobs with your qualification and percentage. you can apply so many exams without having GATE score because you have passed BTech degree.
