To become a Loco Pilot there are certain qualification which you need to satisfy and they include:

• Nationality
• Age limit
• Education qualification

# The nationality standard states that the candidate should have a Citizenship in India

# The age limit needed is that the candidate should have 18-30 years

# To tell about the education qualification it is that the candidate should have completed 10th or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering recognized by AICTE


If you satisfy all these then you can join in as a Loco Pilot

Yes, you can become a Loco Pilot.

The steps involved are as follows:

*You must complete an ITI certification course in Electrical or Mechanical or related field or you must complete Diploma course in Electrical or Mechanical or related field.

*You have to appear for the written test conducted by Railway Recruitment Board for Assistant Loco Pilot.

*If you qualify the written test, you have to undergo a psychological test.

*If you are successful in it you are required to undergo training for at least 6 months at the aloted training center.

*After the completion of training, you join as an Assistant Loco Pilot.

*On gaining experience, you have to complete the Loco Shunter's course and be posted thereafter.

*As per your seniority you would be nominated for the Loco Pilot promotional course and you have to complete the training.

*Then you would be promoted and be posted as Loco Pilot.
