IRDA stands for the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority. To become Life Insurance agent in India, a candidate must pass IRDA IC 33 Pre recruitment qualification exam. The entrance exam is conducted by the Insurance Institute of India.
Eligibility criteria: The minimum qualification in case of urban areas is 10+2 passed and 10th passed from a recognized board in case of rural areas if population is less than 5000. You need to enroll with the insurance company for which you want to work then only they can allow you to appear for the exam. You must complete 50 hours of training from any IRDA approved training institutes. Examination pattern: The exam is conducted online. It contains 50 multiple choice questions with one mark for each right answer and no negative marking. Duration of exam is one hour. To pass the test, you must score at least 50% marks. |
