I want to apply for the lecturer jobs in government polytechnics. I have completed M.Sc., M.phil in mathematics. Tell me the steps to become a Lecturer?

One who wishes to join as lecturer in Polytechnic has to apply for the NET entrance exam. NET(National Eligibility Test) entrance exam is conducted by the UGC department twice in a year in the month of June and December .

The eligibility criteria for the NET exam are as under :-

-The candidate must be an Indian .

-The candidate must have passed the master degree with at least 55% marks from any recognized university.

-The candidate age must be below 35 years.There is age relaxation as per gov. rules for reserved categories.

The selection process involves of

* Written exam , and

* Interview .

To become a lecturer in any of the government polytechnic institute you must have to passed the master degree in any discipline from any of the well recognized university/institute with minimum of 55% marks. Also you must have to qualify the National Eligibility Test. After that you are eligible for the post of assistant professor in any of the government polytechnic college.
