Hello friends, I am going to apply for the UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination II of 2020. I just want to know about the pattern of this examination. Can anyone tell me about the pattern? Kindly tell me about the cost of this application as well.

The pattern of UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination II 2020 is given below.

English - 100 Marks and duration is 2 hours.
Elementary Mathematics - 100 Marks and duration is 2 hours.
General Knowledge - 100 Marks and duration is 2 hours.
Total Marks - 300
Total Duration - 6 Hours

The cost of the application is Rs.200 for general/OBC category and there is no fee for female/SC/ST candidates. I am also giving you the website link for your reference that is www.upsc.gov.in

CDS 2 2020 will be conducted by UPSC in pen paper mode.

Paper will consist three following paper-
1. General knowledge
2. English
3. Elementary Mathematics
120 qualification for each paper and 120 min. time will be given for each paper .

Candidates who have applied for IMA, AFA and NA have to attend all the above 3 papers, while OTA Candidates have to appear for the first 2 paper only - General Knowledge & English.

Application fee for-

UR/EWS Male Candidates: Rs. 200/-

Female/SC/ST candidates: NIL

The examination is conducted in two stages - Written and SSB.

Written examination consists of three paper - English, General Ability, Mathematics.

Mathematics is not mandatory for OTA.

Mandatory to score minimum qualifying marks in each paper.

Last date to fill the application is 25th August 2020.

The pattern of UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination II 2020 and Cost of application:-

Pattern:-

UPSC CDS 2 exam pattern for admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy

English - 2 hours, 100 marks

General knowledge 2 hours, 100 marks

Elementary Mathematics - 2 hours, 100 marks.

For admission to officer's training academy -

English - 2 hours, 100 marks

General knowledge - 2 hours, 100 marks.

The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. The question papers ( test booklet) of general knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English.

Cost of application:-

For general / OBC category candidates - 200

SC / ST category candidates - Nil

Female candidate - Nil

Applicants can pay examination fees through David / credit card or netbanking or challan in any branch of SBI.

The UPSC CDS 2 Application Process has begun @upsc.gov.in.

The UPSC CDS II selection process comprises two stages

Stage I: Written Examination
Stage II: Interview
The candidates who qualify Stage I will be allowed to appear for Stage-II examination. Candidates who qualify both the stages need to undergo Medical Examination before being recruited in the UPSC.

••• Number of questions in general knowledge and English Language part will be 120.

••• 100 questions will be in Elementary Mathematics.

••• 120 minutes will be given for each subject.

••• Only OTA candidates have to appear for the first two papers - general knowledge and English language.
