Can I do B.A Hons quitting B.Sc course I am doing right now?

I am doing Maths Hons from Calcutta University and however I failed to score good marks in part II exam and therefore I want to change my stream and go for English Hons instead. Can I do that course under C.U?

Changing stream in middle is quite difficult.
You must talk to the principal if college for such change, you must also talk to the college authority in which you are planning to take admission.

You might be asked for a written exam to check your capability, in this way , you can take fresh admission in a new stream.

Yes, you can change your stream from Mathematics Honours to English Honours after 1st year of college. It completely depends on your college and for that, you need to write a written application to your seniors and academic officials. Generally, the allocation of seats to change in any particular branch is done on the basis of a merit list on the score of your first-year performance. However, there is a limitation on the number of seats to be allocated in each branch. Change is possible if there is any vacancy for that course in your college.
