B.Optom (lateral entry) is offered by many universities/ institutions in India where you can directly join 2nd year of B.Optom after completing the diploma.
Some Universities/ Institutions like Chitkara University, ITM Institute of Health Sciences, RJN School of Optometry, Rayhan College of Optometry, CT University, Desh Bhagat University offers B.Optom (lateral entry) for working professionals where you will be required to attend classes on weekend basis/ monthly basis, etc. By pursuing this way you can complete B. Yes, you are eligible to pursue BSc in optometry after completing a diploma in optometry.
As because diploma is also equivalent to intermediate degree. Both are 2 year degree course. But one important thing is that your Institute or colleges should be recognised otherwise your certificate should not be valid. |

There is no need to pursue diploma in optometry before pursuing Bachelor of Science in optometry.
