Default Re: Difference between B.Planning and B.Architect?

B.Arch involves the study of basic things to the most advanced concepts of architecture. Architects are mainly involved in design and construction of buildings. Accuracy plays a vital role in B.Arch as even a small variation in design can lead to various problems in future.

So, B.Arch students must have good technical skills in order to avoid these difficulties. It is a five years course.

About B.Planning, it is associated with final planning techniques. Planning is necessary for human settlements specially in metropolitan cities where congestion is more and space is very less. So in this course, professional are taught how to come with most appropriate plans. It is a four years course.

After doing your bachelor's degree in planning, you can go for higher studies for more job opportunities and can do master's degree in :

>>Housing

>>Environment planning

>>Transport planning.

>>Urban design.

Planners are needed in both private and public sectors.

Thanks.
