Yes, Biology is a compulsory subject for admission to the BSc Forestry program at most universities, including GB Pant University. This is because the BSc Forestry program deals with the study of forest ecosystems, and a basic understanding of Biology is necessary to understand the various processes involved in the functioning of these ecosystems. The other mandatory subjects for BSc Forestry admission are Physics and Chemistry, as they provide a foundation for understanding the physical and chemical properties of forest ecosystems.

The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination (45% for SC/ST candidates).

The candidate must appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by the university or the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
