As per the recent norms, the admission in MBBS in all the colleges ( except JIPMER, AIIMS etc )is on the basis of rank in NEET.

NEET is conducted by NTA. It is conducted every year. Candidates passed 12th in PCB from a recognised board with PCB as main paper with minimum 50% aggregate are eligible to appear in the examination.

So, you can appear in the examination and qualify in it to get admission in the institutions on the basis of rank.

You have to appear and qualify in NEET examination to get admission in MBBS course.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCB from a recognised board with PCB as main with minimum 50% aggregate.

There is relaxation in aggregate for the reserved category candidates.

The minimum required rank to get admission is below 2500 but varies for different category.
