Qualification required to become Loco pilot or RRB Assistant Loco Pilot:
The basic minimum educational qualification required to become Loco pilot or RRB Assistant Loco Pilot is given below, >> Candidiates should meet the below mentioned eligibility criteria, 1. Matriculation or SSLC plus ITI from recognized institution of MCVT or SCVT. OR 2. Matriculation or SSLC and Course completed Act Apprenticeship OR 3. Three years Diploma in Engineering in Electronics or Mechanical or Automobile or Electrical or its combination are allowed. Or else Degree in Engineering in same discipline can also be considered in lieu of Diploma course. |

Eligibility to become loco pilot:-
> The candidate must be at least to 10th grade passed or higher from any board recognised by India's government. > The candidate must have cleared RRB ALP and technician exam for various metro train operator exams. > Must have a nice ITI certification from NCVT or SCVT any one of the following traids: electrician, coil winder and armature winder, electronics mechanics, fitter, heat engine, instrumentation mechanics, welder etc. OR Minimum of diploma in any one of the following grades from any recognised institute in India: Mechanical, electrical, electronics, automobile |

The basic eligibility criteria for the Loco Pilot is that the candidates must have passed the 10th from a recognized board, ITI course recognized by NCVT/SCVT, or diploma in engineering. Apart from an engineering diploma, or ITI, a student can also enroll in any two-year apprentice program under the Government of India's Apprentice Act.

Loco Pilot means the engine driver.
No, graduation is not necessary for the loco pilot job ,for loco pilot you must have 10th passed from a recognized university and ITI certification or diploma in engineering. |

°°° The basic criteria for the loco pilot is that the candidate must have passed 10th and ITI course or diploma in Engineering.
Apart from Engineering Diploma or ITI, a student can also enroll in any 2 year apprentice program under the Government of India apprentice act. Hence, not necessary that the candidate should have completed graduation if he wants to become a loco pilot. °°° The RRB conducts the ALP Sridevi ka exam every year to recruit candidates in to various post under the railway ministry. As per the RRB ALP eligibility criteria, assistant loco pilot age limit is 18 to 28 years and there is age relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category students. |

No. A Graduation degree is not required for the loco pilot job. Eligibility to apply for loco pilot job is, candidates should have passed Act Apprentice or ITI or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering from any institution recognized by AICTE.

The basic eligibility is that candidate must have completed class 10th or diploma in engineering , ITI course recognised by NCVT /SCVT .
They must have an academic background in mechanical/electronic/electrical engineering or have relevant skills in those areas. And a fresher is not hired for the post, he must have atleast 2 years of experience as an intern/trainer assistant on a running train. |
