IMPORTANCE OF NATA EXAM:

Exams like NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) are conducted for making sure that some standards are followed for the colleges to take the right candidates which will provide and play as the eligibility criteria for joining the Architecture Engineering courses.

All the major Government, Govt. Aided & unaided schools / colleges of Architecture are already admitting the candidates only with the basis of NATA score. So, it's pretty much important if you are planning to do the Architecture course.

If you are sure that Architecture is what you want to do in college then sure that you need to prepare for the NATA exam and apply for it as soon as possible but the problem is the phase I exam of NATA 2014 is already over and you won't be apply for it now.

I have attached the latest NATA 2014 brochure in this post for your reference which contains the complete information about the exam. Just go through it to get the complete picture of NATA and it's importance.

NATA stands for the National Aptitude Test for Architecture.

Various colleges other than the IITs and NITs offer the B. Arch. through this test.

It is conducted from April to June every year and the forms are sold out in the month of February to April.

For the admission a common merit list is prepared by based on the marks obtained by them in the test and the marks in 12th.

The weightage of the marks is 50-50 for both and the students are called for the counselling through which they get the colleges.
