Joining process of Merchant Navy after BE from a college of AICTE?

You can join Merchant Navy after the completion of class 12th, on the of class 12th also.

Procedure to join Merchant Navy after class 12th with Science stream:

The candidate should pass class 12th from a recognized Board in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subject.

The candidate's age must be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

The candidate must be an unmarried male.

The candidate should should be a citizen of India.

The candidate should be physically fit as per the requirements.

If you satisfy all the requirements then proceed for the NATA entrance examination and can join Merchant Navy.

There are a number of private companies which recruit the candidate s in engineering directly in the final year for the training in merchant navy institute through the campus placement.

If no such company is coming to your college, then you can also apply for the training in Merchant navy institute, Bangalore at its website.

There will be a training of 1 year in the institute and an on board training of 2 months after that you will be given joining in any of the merchant navy company as a deck fficer.
