Hello Sir,
Kindly let me know the pattern of NIFT B.Des entrance exam. What qualification is required for applying? Please help me to know about this. Thank you in advance.

To get admission in Bachelor Program of Design you must have passed 12th in any discipline from recognised University with minimum 50% marks and 45% for reserved categories. Diploma holder students are also eligible to appear in this entrance exam.
A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of 5 subjects are also eligible.

Qualification required to apply in NEFT B.Des entrance exam:-

For admission to Bachelor programs in design.

The applicant should have passed 12th level for any recognised University

Any public school/ board / University examination in India or in foreign countries recognised by the association of Indian universities as equivalent to 10+ 2 system.

NIFT conducts entrance examination for admission of candidates in the B.Des course. The examination for admission in 2016-2017 is over.

The examination paper contains questions of :-

Quantitative Aptitude.

Communication Ability.

English Comprehension.

Analytical Ability.

General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

Candidates passed 10+2 or equivalent degree from any recognised board/university/institute are eligible to appear for entrance examination. The maximum age limit is 23 years.

NIFT stands for National Institute of Fashion Technology. B.Des stands for Bachelor of Design. Eligibility criteria for NIFT B.Des exam is:

*10+2 passed from any recognized board like CBSE, ICSE, NIOS etc. Even board appearing candidates can apply for examination.


Question paper pattern:

1. Quantitative ability: 25 questions.

2. Communication ability: 35 questions.

3. English Comprehension: 30 questions

4. Analytical ability: 30 questions.

5. General Knowledge: 30 questions.

Below I have mentioned the eligibility criteria for NIFT B.Des, have a look over it.

Eligibility criteria fro NIFT B.Des:-

Candidates must have completed their class 12th or equivalent from a recognized University.
Maximum age limit is 23 years old. The upper age limit will be relaxed for 5 years for the SC candidates.
There is no percentage of marks required.

The pattern of the examination:-

The examination comprises of generally 5 sections.

Quantitative Ability- 25 questions
Communication Ability- 35 questions
English Comprehension- 30 questions
Analytical Ability- 30 questions
General Knowledge and Current Affairs- 30 questions.
