Re: In which stream graduation is required to get a job in bank?
No, it is not necessary to have graduation in any particular stream to appear for banking jobs.
To appear for banking jobs you need to have minimum graduation degree from any recognised university in any discipline. So, you can pursue degree in any discipline, but for the jobs of specialist officer post you have graduation in some particular discipline. To get more information about examination visit at www.ibps.in. or www.sbi.co.in. |

Re: In which stream graduation is required to get a job in bank?
There is no such particular stream to be pursued in order to get job in Banking sector. Before you apply for Banking based recruitment, you are required to know the basic eligibility criteria first.
>> The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for banking examinations is "Bachelor's Degree" or a Graduate Degree IN ANY DISCIPLINE from a recognized university. >> As any stream in Graduation is allowed, it is you who to decide the best stream based on your interests and goals. >> Candidates from B.A/ B.Com/ B.Sc/ BCA/ BBM/ BBA/ B.E/ B.Tech or its equivalent background are all eligible to apply for Banking recruitment. >> As far as my knowledge is concerned, B.E/ B.Tech is the best stream to go with as it enhances knowledge to solve problems related to reasoning or Quant and Computer based questions. |

You are interested to get job in banking sector and want to know about the graduation course to be opted.
>>There is not any specific stream of graduation required for getting eligible for banking job. For getting eligible in PO or clerk exam student must possess graduation degree from a recognized university. >>So in my opinion you have to do any graduation degree such as B.A, B.Com, B.Sc etc for getting eligible. In the mean while of the graduation course you can start your preparation for the banking exam. |

Re: In which stream graduation is required to get a job in bank?
For Govt sector banks, there is no compulsion on subject of Graduation. Any candidate who has a graduate degree from a recognised University, from any discipline or stream, is eligible for posts of PO and Clerk.
For Specialist Officers, there are particular subjects of graduation. For e.g. Rajbhasa adhikari needs to have Postgraduate in Hindi,Law officer needs to be law graduate/postgraduate, Technical officers needs Engineering degrees etc. But PO and clerk needs only Graduation from any stream. |
