Kindly tell me name of colleges which offer lateral entry to students who have studied 1st year B.Tech at any other institute. I wish to join another institute from 2nd year onwards i.e student not having diploma/B.Sc. (for example LNMIIT Jaipur).

Lateral entry admission is only for diploma holders. There is no such entry for B.Tech 1st year passed students. You can only continue 2nd year in the same college.

Also, those who have B.Sc degree are also eligible for 2nd year lateral entry admission through entrance exam. Some universities even allow transfer of colleges for B.Tech students, if there is seat availability at another institute in 2nd year.

I am sorry to say that there is no College which provides lateral entry admission in second year after completing B.Tech first year from another College. Candidates those who have completed their Diploma from a recognised University are only eligible to get admission directly in the second year of B.Tech. So, you must have to study in the same College and have to complete your degree from there only.

You are eligible to change the colleges within the same university.

So, if you are interested in changing the college affiliated with same university. You must check the eligibility to get admission in another college as on basis of minimum required aggregate in 1st year and etc..

You are not eligible to change the university.
