NDA (National Defence Academy) is an examination that is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice every year for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA.


This year NDA Exam (II) will be conducted on 19 August 2012 (Sunday).

The candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B.Tech course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies
The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be 355 (195 for the Army, 39 for Navy, 66 for the Air Force and 55 for Indian Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme)




CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY

Nationality:
A candidate must be a citizen of India

Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status:
Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 1994 and not later than 01st January, 1997 are eligible
  • Those candidates who have yet to qualify in the 12th class or equivalent examination and are allowed to appear in the UPSC examination should note that this is only a special concession given to them
  • They are required to submit proof of passing the 12th class or equivalent examination by the prescribed date (11th June, 2013) and no request for extending this date will be entertained on the grounds of late conduct of Board/University examination, delay in declaration of results or any other ground whatsoever.

APPLICATION FEE
For General and OBC Candidates, application fee is Rs.50 only while for others like SC/ST application fee is exempted.

HOW TO APPLY

Candidates are required to apply online by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in. Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned website.

SCHEME OF THE NDA ENTRANCE EXAM:
The subjects of the written examination, the time allowed and the maximum marks allotted to each subject will be as follows:


Two stage selection procedure:
Two-stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test has been introduced at Selection Centers/Air Force Selection Boards.

Age, sex & marital status – Only males can apply. The applicant should be at least 16 1/2 yrs. of age & should not be more than 19 yrs on 1st Jan or 1st July of the year in which exam is to held. The applicant should be unmarried & can not marry until the training period. If he does so then all the expenditures incurred on him by the government has to be refunded.
Educational Qualification – The candidate should be at least 12th pass under the 10+2 pattern or equivalent conducted by State education Board or University ( For Naval & Air Force wings, the candidates should have physics & mathematics as compulsory subjects in the qualifying exam). The candidate appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply.
Nationality – The candidate should be either an Indian or a subject of Bhutan or Nepal or Tibetan refugee.
Physical Standards – The candidates should fulfill the physical standards as mentioned in order to qualify himself for the exam. Anybody having minor ailments like ear wax, hernia, hydrocele / phimosis, DNS, gynaecomastia, piles, varicocele, tonsillitis should undergo rectification as soon as possible so that medical examination carried out at military hospital will be speedily. He should fulfill the following criteria -
* should be good physical & mental health & free from any disability or disease which is likely to interfere with the performance.
* should not be overweight or under weight. He should not have weakly constitution.
* Height should be at least 157.5 cms & 162.5cms for Air Force wing.
* Chest should be fully expanded. The fully expanded chest should not be less than 81cms.
* There should not be any disease of bones or joints of the body
and you can apply only after completing your 12th exam..

2.Age limitation :
The age of the candidate must be within 16.5 to 19 years.

3.Nationality :
The candidate must be an Indian

4.Eyesight criteria :
Eyesight of the candidate must be 6/6.

5.Height criteria :
The height of the candidate should be minimum 165 cm.

AFTER PASSING 12TH YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR N.D.A EXAM

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

After qualifying N.D.A exam you can join Defence services like:-
> Army
> Air Force
> Navy

you haven't mensioned about you stream and passing percentage so it
is difficult to say whether you are eligible for NDA or not.....
union public service commission(UPSC) conducts the exam for national defence academy(NDA) twice in a year for which the eligibility criteria is;

-you should be 12th with minimum 60% marks in PCM stream but
a candidate with different stream but having math as one of the
subject can also apply for the exam..

-an appearing candidate can also apply for the exam...

-your age should be between 16.5-19 years....

yea you may appear in NDA examination after 12th but you have to fulfill all eligibility criterion like you age must be in between 16 to 18 and other. for different category you should fulfill the eligibility criterion.

now the form fill up for NDA II 2011 examination is going on. to apply visit the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in the last date to apply is 9th May, 2011. the date of the examination is 21st August, 2011.

Hello,
The National Defense Academy Exam conducted upsc will held twice in a year and also called NDA1 and NDA2.
The eligibility criteria for the appearing to the entrance exam is 10+2 having physics and mathematics as a main subjects.
The age limit will be 16.5 to 19 years. You can apply many time within these age limit.

National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (II):

Age limit:-Only male unmarried candidates born between 02-07-1993 and 01-

Educational qualification:-

NDA Examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year. And Yes you are eligible because this exam is only for 12th pass male candidates

Eligibility Criteria

* XII Class / Equivalent passed certificate conducted by State Board / Universities. Candidate appearing for above examination can also apply.

* Unmarried male candidates only

* A written examination held by the Union Public Service Commission.

* An interview by the Service Selection Board to assess a candidate's officer potentialities ( Intelligence and personality test ).

* A medical examination by a Service Medical Board.

Scheme of the Examination

The subjects of the written examination, the time allowed and the maximum marks allotted to each subject are as follows :

General Ability :: 600


The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. the question papers (Test Booklets) will be set in English only.


Syllabus for Entrance Examination


* Paper I - Mathematics : (Maximum Marks 300)
Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics.

* Paper II - General Ability
Part A - English (Maximum Marks 200)
Part B - General Knowledge (Maximum Marks 400)

Section A (Physics)
Section B (Chemistry)
Section C (General Science)
Section D (History, Freedom Movement etc)
Section E (Geography)
Section F (Current Event)

Note : Out of the maximum marks assigned to Part B of this paper, questions on Sections A, B, C, D, E and F carry approximately 25%, 15%, 10%, 20%, 20% and 10% weightage respectively.

NDA is an exam for entrance into defence services after 12th only.
You need to be passed in 12th exam or appearing.
Your age should be below 19 years.

NDA forms for NDA-1 examination has been already sold in the month of october and november, next time you can apply for NDA-2 examination which is going to conduct in the month of August. Age limit : only unmarried male candidates but not Earlier and 2nd jan 1993 and not later than 1st july,1995 are eligible.

physical standard hysical fit according to physical standards to National Defence Academy and Navel Defence Academy.

Only males can apply.

The applicant should be at least 16 1/2 yrs. of age & should not be more than 19 yrs on 1st Jan or 1st July of the year in which exam is to held.

The applicant should be unmarried & can not marry until the training period.

If he does so then all the expenditures incurred on him by the government has to be refunded.

Hello,
The Minimum Eligibility inorder to appear in the NDA exams is-:
12th Class pass of 10+2 pattern of School Education or
equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

And the candidate should be physical fit as per the physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy.

Age Limit-: 16.5 – 19 years.

And yes you can go for it after your +2.

To appear in the NDA exam you have to pass your +2 with pcm.While you are in 12th, you can appear in this exam as appearing candidate.

if you want to successful in NDA exam you have to read the the math ,physics and chemistry of +2.For general knowledge you have to read some good G.K. book.I am giving you the name of some books that are as follows

Physics

Physics by H.C. verma (vol 1 and 2)
Physics of NCERT (vol 1 and 2)
MCQ in physics by Deb Mukherji

Math
Math by K.C. SINHA
Math by erodov

Chemistry

1. chemistry

12 passouts or even 12th appearing students can apply for National Defence Academy examination.
Candidates must be a male indian candidate between age limit of 16 1/2 to 19 years on the year of commecement of course.
Minimum educational qualification is 12th passouts or 12th appearing. For navy and aitforce wings, the candidates must have PCM at 10+2 level.

Yes definitely, After 12th you are Eligible to join NDA.
after 12 there are separate forms for commerce and science students for giving nda entrance exam ,and also the minimum age is required is 17 and maximum is 19 years
the form out twice in a year around [ nov and feb ]

once you clear the written exam , there is physical interview of 7 days in which
for male - minimum height -5.8 is required .and some other criteria are there ,

you can know more about this in employment newspaper , when the forms are out.

1. a citizen of india
2. 19 year completed in examination year
3. 12th pass
4. physically fit according to physical standards (minimum height 157.5 cm)

your age must be within 19 years!!
and should pass 12 th class exam

and minimum acceptable hieght for NDA is 157.5 cm

and this exam conduct twice a year whose notification come in employement newspaper!!
