Dear, You don't mention in Which stream you Completed your 12th Class. 12th Class have Three Streams-Arts, commerce, and Science. you should Mention you stream of 12th Class. Dear Friend, * Both medicine and engineering has its own scope and advantages. * Deciding to choose the stream should be your complete choice as you should proceed only according to your wish. * Still, if you do not have any clear cut idea, just appear for both medicine and engineering entrance examinations and go with the one you secure the highest. * Medicine is a service oriented stream where in you will be able to contribute to the human population by any means where in the technological sector deals with manufacturing and developing products that is being used by the man kind. Currently medical genre is not turning out to be that good. Instead engineering stream is much more efficient. So I would rather suggest engineering stream for you. Now if you are inclined yourself towards medical genre, then I have no objection for you going in this genre. You must always follow your heart. But if that is not the case and you are neutral towards any educational genre, then choose engineering stream. You can go for ECE or EEE or civil or mechanical engineering as your potential choices. Also hardware engineering is a good option for getting jobs in IT sectors. You can do B.tech in computer science and then later you can choose for MBA or M.Tech as your higher studies. |

Re: After 12th which is better? doing engineering or medical? you must be having both PCB as well as PCM,see in engineering you may get a good college after getting good marks in aieee or IIT also the top job opportunities are in engineering but in medical seats are limited so it is difficult to get in a good college like AIIMS,But if you get good marks in both fields then the rest depends on your interest ROKNITS |

Future scope in both the fields are lot but it depends on your interest on which pah to choose for. Medical deals with biology and engg with technologies . So go for the one which you find interest in and suits you best. |

If you just select a stream because of its NAME you will end up crying... secondly....if u have taken PCB then you cannot opt for engineering, you will have to go for medical.. and if you have taken PCM then you can do engineering and not medical.. Apart, you must also qualify the eligibility criteria for various exam - if you have PCMB, you can give both exams and see whose score is better. If you have PCB, then engineering line is jammed shut. If PCM, Medical is shut forever. I would suggest - Listen to reason rather than emotion. It is a time of shaping your career. For medicine you have to get a good rank in eamcet or any other entrance exam. For engineering good rank is not necessary but if you get a good rank you will be placed in good college or university so that your life will be settled good. |

You should go according to your interest, first decide your field of interestand then go for anything you want to persue. for going in the field of medical you can opt for MBBS,BDS for being a doctor. for this you have to go through the entrance exam like AIPMT,DPMT,AFMC and another way to go in the field of medical is that you opt for B.Sc. in(botony,zoology,biotechnology,microbiology,genet ics,life science, applied life science, biochemistry,immunology, environmental biology,etc.) followed by the higher studies (M.Sc., Ph.D.,etc.). and in the field of engineering also there are same ways, you can go for B.Tech. or B.E. by appearing in the entrance exams like AIEEE, IIT-JEE, UPTU, DCE , PTU, etc. or ypu can go for B.Sc.in (physics,electronics, maths computer science, statistics, physical science, applied physical science,chemistry, industrial chemistry,etc.) followed by higher studies ( M.Sc., M.Tech. , Ph.D.) There are many options, but first you decide your field of interest then choose any field, and focus on your 12th exams..all the best.. |

Re: After 12th which is better? doing engineering or medical? dear friend this question has a problem you need to specify which group you are studying right now and is there biology in your studies. since u asked this type of a question i assume that you are in science group and studying biology. ya definitely both this streams are very much interesting. if you have an interest in biology (zoology) then go for medicine because at any time this doctors are necessary. i'll tell u my case when i am studying in +2 i was interested in biology when my friends sleep in the biology class i'll listem to the class but i am not interested in medical fiels my interest was in computer so i opted computer science instead of medicine. if u have 100% interested in engineering then go for engg that will be better or other vise go for medicine its more over your choice dont take others interest in to your career. don't decide at the last moment take the decision as early as possible and make the preparation for that. good luck my friend |

If u want to be a engineer then definetly go for the engineering, but if ur field of interest is medical then go for this branch dont see how long is the study or what's the scope. Find out all you can about the two fields from seniors, internet and friends and then decide which one appeals to you more. Re: After 12th which is better? doing engineering or medical? If you have selected for pcb then it is better to go for biotechnology as it is the most emerging & developing branch today. In medical sciences , u always need instruments & its need will always increase so u have better opportunities for that. If you have taken pcm , then you have to go for engineering,but still if you are interested in biological subject, you can go in bioengineering. That has gained a boost nowadays. I know this as i m a student of std.12 & m also gng to opt for engineering next year. |

Re: After 12th which is better? doing engineering or medical? both are good but for you it totally depends on your interests bcoz if you are interested in one you will give more time to that whether it is medical or both . if you have the ability and you are ready to do hard work for cracking CPMT, AFMC ,AIIMS and CBSE then only you go for medical otherwise go for engineering bcoz maths is the subject required in engineering and not in bio and maths is further equired in the future when you will do pg and all. |
