Which degrees are necessary for PhD.if did engineering then after engineering which degree is necessary? Can you please give me the details about the course and how to apply for them? It will be helpful if you can guide me on this as am not sure about it.

After completing Bachelors degree in Engineering course, you must have to complete Masters degree in Engineering to do Ph.D course in the same.
Candidates those who have completed their Masters degree from a recognised University with a minimum of 55% of marks in it are eligible to opt for the Ph.D course.
You must have to qualify in the NET examination in order to study the Ph.D course.

The mimimum qualification required in order to get admission in PHD course is Masters Degree with recognised University. You should have at least scored 50% marks if you belong to General category and relaxation of 5% is given to the candidates of reserved categories. So you have to qualify the entrance exam in order to get admission in whatever PhD course you are interested.

Required qualification for doing Ph.D:-

To join the Ph.D course one has to apply for the NET examination conducted by the UGC.

The eligibility criteria for the NET examination:-

The candidate should have minimum master's degree from a recognized institution with minimum 55% marks in aggregate.

The age of the candidate should be less than 28 years.

To apply for Ph.D a candidate must be graduate from a valid university & after graduation must go for post graduation from a recognised university. So, you need to complete post graduation if you have completed graduation. You need to go through the entrance exam to get the admission in Ph.D.
