After completion of your B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with at least 60% marks from an AICTE approved college you will become eligible for CSIR NET. Those in final year can also apply but they have to submit a letter from the college Principal regarding confirmation of your course completion. There is relaxation for 5% marks candidates who belong to reserved category.

You will be eligible for Chemical Science subject only. Also, note that you will be only eligible for JRF if you are a Bachelor degree holder. For Lectureship Master's degree is a must in CSIR NET. Therefore, if you fulfil the criteria then be prepared for the exam.
